Tournaments
Tournaments start on Friday and end on Sunday.
You do not need to sign up for the tournament, everyone is automatically entered, you can check your progress from the tournament page which is located on the home page.
There have been several types of tournaments in the past, however now there only seems to be 2 types of tournaments being used on a regular basis. (win a battle against an enemy or kill an enemy).
There are 2 teams during each tournament: USA and the rest of the world.
To earn a point in the tournament you must complete a specified task against a player from the opposite team of yourself (for example, if your player has a US flag, you must attack a player with a flag that is non-US).
It is important to read the tournament page when you want to earn points towards tournament rewards. The tournament page will tell you if you need to just win a battle or kill an enemy.
If you have to win a battle against an enemy, please make sure that you are attacking the right players to earn your points, if you are a US flag then you must attack any non-US flag, and if you are a non-US flag then you must attack a US flag.
If you must kill an enemy to earn a point in the tournament then you must make sure of 2 things when you are attacking people and trying to earn points for the tournament. Make sure you are attacking the right flag, and make sure you see a "KA-CHING!" message after you battle. If you are a US player and you attack a US player and see a "KA-CHING!" you will not get a point because you attacked a player who is on your team!
If you are a Canadian player and you battle a US player and see a "KA-CHING!" then you will earn a point, however if you only see "KA-BOOM!" then you must continue attacking your opponent.
Please keep in mind that during tournaments that require you to kill your opponent you might see "Your opponent is injured" and you will be unable to attack them any further. This means that you damaged your opponent to under 25% of their maximum health and they are unable to be attacked any further, so you much choose another opponent to attempt to kill. This may happen to you very often during tournaments, and even though it is frustrating please try to keep in mind that everyone has to deal with it, it is a part of the game, and it will not be changed, so keep choosing different opponents and trying to kill them.
